When i try and have a conversation with some one. i have to close down the main thing where you can see your contacts and if they are online. HOW DO I STOP THIS BECAUSE I USE TO BE ABLE JUST 2 CLICK ON THE PERSON I WANT TO TALK TO AND THE MESSAGE BOX THING WOULD STILL COME UP SO I CAN SEE MY CONTACTS ASWELL BUT NOW IT WONT WORK I HAVE TO MINIMIZE THE LIST WHERE THE CONTACTS ARE DISPLAYED

this happened to me a while ago
what i did was uninstall windows live messenger and all the attatched files
then restarted my computer
and installed it again off the windows website
then it worked fine =]
do you have a msn virus ??? i had it and it happened to me as wel...i jus got rid of the virus and it worked fine. add details on if you have the virus and i'll send you the link of how to get rid of it :D xx

get rid of the virus by running norton anti-virus
heyah hun, just uninstall msn and then install it again or maybe a better version of it! Its simple really lol! Hope this helps x x x
Re-install messenger, a messenger file might be damaged, or try and repair it from start %26gt; control panal %26gt; add/remove programmes %26gt; click on messenger and click 'repair'
If thats impossible then download the latest version:

P.S - If you want BETA version you need to download 8.1 version first, then download BETA, so it overwrites Windows Live Messenger 8.1
