If you really want it then you can also use BitTorrent

Operantly you are unable to do that. However, there is a solution to this problem. You can download the Mac Version if Windows Messenger, you won't have the same features like Windows Live Messenger. But, you can still chat with friends
For me I'd rather use Adium as a Chat Program because I'm able to use my other accounts on it like Yahoo, Gmail, Msn, etc
