I have Windows Live Messenger and my friends in China have it too. But,?

They can write in the window with the cursor like a pen and send me a Chinese character or a picture. How can I get this feature?

They are using MSN 7.5 (if you don't have this version yet, you can download it from the MSN site, www.msn.com) . You need to get it too if you don't have it to be able to draw.

In your chat window, towards the bottom of the box you type in, right underneath the send button, you'll find a tab with an icon of a pen tip on it. This is the drawing tool. You can click that tab to use your mouse to draw in the box, and click back on the icon with the letter 'A" to type again. Your friends are probably just using the drawing tool.

Under the send button in the conversation click on the pen icon. This will switch you to drawing mode and allow you to draw images into the conversation.
