Help with windows live messenger please...all computer geeks welcome to help..?

When I try to sign in to it a troubleshoot thingy comes up. I've clicked on repair, retry, repair, retry etc. so many times and it hasn't worked. The only thing that has the exclamation mark next to it is 'Key Ports' or something...any idea on how I can successfully sign in?

Please NO computer language!!
